1-30 Radius Featured Craftsman – Judith Van Zant of Media at Radius, HACC Gallery and Museum Shop in The State Museum.
Van Zant’s interest and love of textiles and weaving can be traced to her family’s history. Her grandmother is a native of Finland where families not only wove their own household linens, but grew the flax that they spun into linen yarns. Van Zant discovered weaving as a West Chester University student and has participated in shows in the tri-state area ever since. She has been an active member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen since the ’80s.

Radius, on the ground floor of the State Museum of Pennsylvania, Third and North streets, is a partnership between HACC and the Pennsylvania Historical Museum Commission. The gallery and museum shop carries the work of more than 60 craftsmen, including HACC students, members of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen and other talented artists from around the state.

Dec. 18 Deadline for entries: January/February Radius Showcase Series – "Turn a Cheek: Face Pottery." Pennsylvania artisans are invited to submit their crafted face pottery to the Showcase Series at Radius, at The State Museum of Pennsylvania, which will run during January and February.
The deadline to submit digital entries is Friday, Dec. 18. Artists are limited to four entries, submitted either by e-mail or on a disk and sent in postal mail. There is no fee to enter; all work chosen for the showcase must be available for sale on consignment. Artists whose work is chosen are responsible for delivery and return of their work.
