Explore careers in trades, technologies at HACC

Info session April 18 offers overview of programs at Midtown


HARRISBURG – Area residents interested in a career in trades or technologies are invited to find out more about the several opportunities offered at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
An overview of the programs, an opportunity to meet the faculty and tours of HACC’s state-of-the-art training labs will be offered from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at Midtown 2, at 1500 N. Third St., Harrisburg.
Visitors also will get a brief financial aid overview, be able to submit an application, and participate in a question-and-answer period.
HACC’s trade and technical training programs are geared toward helping students develop the skills that lead to good jobs in growing career fields.
Among the many programs offered at the Midtown hub, which also includes Midtown 1 at 1523 N. Fourth St., are architectural technology, civil technology, electronic engineering technology, electrical technology, engineering and architecture (both transfer degrees), geographic information systems, mechanical engineering technology, nanofabrication manufacturing technology and technology studies.
Programs in the trades include heating, ventilation and air condition (HVAC), home building and remodeling, mechatronics, welding, and woodworking.
