CHAMBERSBURG – Start earning credits toward a college degree at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College with local classes held Chambersburg Area Senior High School and the Franklin County Career and Technology Center.
Two free information sessions are scheduled in hour-long sessions: at 4:30 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, in the career center at Chambersburg Area Senior High School, 511 S. Sixth St. Enter at the main entrance to the career center.
Potential students can find out more about the courses HACC is offering in Chambersburg this fall, including newly added English as a Second Language (ESL) courses. Students can improve their English language proficiency for advancement opportunities in the workplace or prepare themselves for HACC's wide range of career and transfer programs.
Counselors also will be on hand to explain transfer options, degrees and in-demand career options that are available through HACC. Attendees will hear presentations on how to enroll, apply for financial aid and register for classes. Advisers will answer questions or can help with next steps.
There is still time to register for summer classes that begin June 18. HACC’s fall semester begins Monday, Aug. 20, with classes available during the day and evening. Registration for fall classes is under way.

Students can enroll, take placement testing and get advising services at HACC’s Student Services Office in the high school.
