Recipients named for HACC Foundation scholarships, awards

HARRISBURG – For the fall 2012 semester, the HACC Foundation awarded 124 scholarships to 974 students, totaling nearly $850,000. The list of scholarship recipients follows.
For this academic year, students received a scholarship or an award from contributions to the HACC Foundation from private and corporate donors throughout HACC’s 10-county service area. The scholarships and awards are established to provide educational opportunities for students in need, who are studying a particular program, who excel academically or meet other criteria.
The HACC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was established in 1985 to raise private and corporate revenues in support of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College. In fiscal year 2011-12 alone, the HACC Foundation contributed $2.1 million to the College in scholarships, special programs and facilities and provided financial assistance to 1,067 students.
