‘Ten Years of Rectangles’ by The Heads of State on display at HACC

Exhibit opens Feb. 24 at the Harrisburg Campus

HARRISBURG, Pa. – “Ten Years of Rectangles,” an exhibit by the Philadelphia design group, The Heads of State, will be on display at HACC’s Rose Lehrman Art Gallery Monday, Feb. 24 through Wednesday, April 2.

A lecture about the exhibit will be given by designer Jason Kernevich on Thursday, March 27, at 4:30 p.m. in Whitaker Hall, Room 214. The lecture will be followed by a reception in the gallery at 5:30 p.m.

Jason Kernevich and Dustin Summers started The Heads of State more than 10 years ago when they left Tyler School of Art at Temple University and began to design two- and three-color silkscreen posters. The company now works with clients such as Nike, Subaru, Starbucks, Williams Sonoma and The New York Times and bands such as REM and Wilco creating illustration, branding, book-covers and posters. To see work by The Heads of State, visit the group’s website.

The Rose Lehrman Art Gallery and Whitaker Hall are on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, One HACC Drive. Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday-Friday and 5-7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, or by appointment.
