‘The Bro Code’ Discussed at HACC’s Gettysburg Campus

Community is invited to the documentary screening, lunch and learn

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – “The Bro Code: How Contemporary Culture Creates Sexist Men,” a documentary screening lunch and learn will take place from 1:15-2:40 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, in the Robert C. Hoffman Community Room on the Gettysburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.

Is contemporary culture creating a dangerous, sexist masculinity? What role are women playing? Filmmaker Thomas Keith, a professor of philosophy at California State University, Long Beach, provides an engrossing look at the effects of media on today’s young men and women.

The screening will be followed by a reflective discussion led by Jessica Knouse, coordinator of student life and multicultural programs, and Esther Waybright, community education coordinator at Survivors, Inc. of Gettysburg and Adams County.

For additional information regarding the lunch and learn, please contact Jessica Knouse at jlknouse@hacc.edu or 717-339-3536. Lunch will be provided for those who RSVP by Monday, April 21.

HACC’s Gettysburg Campus is located at 731 Old Harrisburg Road.
