HACC Foundation Allocates $170,176 for HACC Programs and Projects
The installation of new lab equipment and classroom renovations are among the new projects at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, thanks to the HACC Foundation. The HACC Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises private contributions in support of HACC, approved $170,176 for projects at the College. This funding is made possible through generous contributions from individual and organizational donors.
“The HACC Foundation is essential to the College – especially in light of dwindling government funding. Therefore, philanthropic support from our donors is more important now than ever before. Our donors never have to wonder if their contributions are used responsibly. All they have to do is visit any campus, talk to a scholarship recipient or chat with a faculty member. We are grateful for our donors. Without them, there is no us,” said Linnie S. Carter, Ph.D., APR, vice president of college advancement at HACC and executive director of the HACC Foundation.
The funding from the HACC Foundation will be used for the following purposes:
|Purpose of HACC Foundation Funding||Benefit to Students and College||Fund Amount|

|Safety and Security Smartphone Application||This collegewide project will create a new way for students and employees to report safety and security issues on campus through the program, NowForce Reporter and SOS’s.||$19,990.00|
|Trisonics GE Vivid 7 SONO machine||This funding will support the purchase of a digital cardiac sonography machine for the Lancaster Campus that will be used to help students gain the hands-on skills needed for this career.||$27,000.00|
