The HACC Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises private contributions in support of HACC, approved more than $146,000 for projects at the College. This funding is made possible through generous contributions from individual and organizational donors.
The HACC Foundation funded the following projects:
|Purpose of HACC Foundation Funding||Benefit to Students and College||Funded Amount|
|The HACC Experience for High School and Middle School Students||Funding will offer our potential future students the opportunity to experience HACC during the HACC Experience Days at each campus.||$66,000|
|Racial Consciousness Workshops||Funding will allow the Office of Inclusion and Diversity to host two three-day workshops, “The Veridical and the Awakening,” for employees to explore the racial consciousness of African-Americans and European-Americans. These workshops provide the foundation for a shift in perception grounded in factual cultural and intercultural history to aid in the elimination of the myth of white supremacy. The presenter will invite the partners of HACC employees and students so that this transformation can extend into the homes as well as into the workplaces.||$30,000|
|Gettysburg Campus Innovation Lab||Funding will be used to create an Innovation Lab that will provide a space that inspires employees to engage in collaborative and best practice training in new technologies before attempting to use new and unfamiliar technology in their classrooms.||$16,443.09|
|Westlaw Paralegal Resource||Funding will purchase the legal research resources that are necessary for the paralegal studies program to maintain its American Bar Association approval.||$13,500|
|Collegewide Speaker Series||Funding will provide a thematic approach to introducing students to the complexities associated with a life in a multicultural democratic republic.||$10,000|
|Intravenous Infusions Devices||Funding will increase the number of intravenous infusion devices in the Nursing Learning Lab at the Harrisburg Campus. Additional infusion devices will increase practice time and facilitate learning and mastery of intravenous skills, leading to a more favorable learning experience and outcome for the students.||$8,210|
|Replacement of Sphygmomanometers (instruments for measuring blood pressure) in the Harrisburg Nursing Learning Lab||Funding will replace 20 wall mounted aneroid sphygmomanometers and six pole mounted aneroid sphygmomanometers. The current equipment being used is 13 years old.||$1,913.95|
