Through the partnership, HACC graduates who complete an associate degree in career-focused programs such as computer information systems, HVAC and industrial technology can easily transfer their 60 credits to Bloomsburg University to complete a Bachelor of Applied Science in Technical Leadership degree without leaving Harrisburg. Approximately 74 HACC graduates are enrolled in this bachelor’s degree program this year.
Most of the classes are held online and in the evenings to allow more flexibility for working students. Classes that must be completed in-person are held at the Dixon University Center on North Second Street and at HACC’s Harrisburg Campus. Part-time and full-time options are available.
“This partnership benefits HACC alumni and current students. Alumni may be looking for opportunities to advance their technical skills to grow in their positions, and our current students know that they have a pathway to a bachelor’s degree that will prepare them for supervisory and managerial positions in the workplace,” said Kathleen T. Doherty, Ph.D., associate provost at HACC.
Interested individuals are encouraged to attend an information session on July 11 or July 23, 2018, from 3-6 p.m. in the Bruce E. Cooper Student Center, Room 209 on HACC’s Harrisburg Campus.
