HACC Sets Events to Commemorate 9/11

All events are free. Date, Time | Location | Presentation | Sept. 11, 8:45 a.m. | HACC’s Lancaster Campus, flagpole by the Main Building | Memorial ceremony with participation by the Red Rose Veteran’s Honor Guard and Gen. Dennis Benchoff, retired, chairman of the honor guard and former adjunct faculty. Sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA). | Sept. 11, 12:30-1:30 p.m. | HACC’s Lebanon Campus, Multipurpose Room | Ever Wonder What Happened on 9/11? A panel of veterans will share their personal experiences of where they were on that tragic day. The panel includes Lebanon Campus staff James Conard, Dave Edwards, Vicki Angel, and Santos Robles. Sponsored by the SGA and the Student Programming Board (SPB). | Sept. 13, noon | HACC’s Harrisburg Campus, Rose Lehrman Arts Center Theater | Joe Torrillo, a retired Fire Department of the City of New York lieutenant, will share his 9/11 experience of being buried alive not once – but twice – during the rescue operation. This event is supported by the SGA, the SPB and the Student Development and Multicultural Programs Department. |
