The HACC Foundation recently created three funds to help provide additional resources necessary to help students successfully navigate the many barriers associated with earning a college education.
- The Fund for Excellence for CARE was created to minimize student hardships – such as food insecurity, housing insecurity and financial crises – so that they can focus on their studies and become productive members of our community.
- The Fund for Excellence for Learning Commons provides access to resources vital to students’ academic success, including testing, tutoring, library and technology support.
- The Fund for Excellence for Open Educational Resources (OER) was developed to provide equal access for all students – no matter their socioeconomic status. OERs are academic materials that can be freely shared at no cost or at a heavily discounted cost.
HACC and the HACC Foundation will continue to advocate for our students and create an environment in which all students can reach their full potential.
