John J. “Ski” Sygielski, Ed.D., MBA, president and chief executive officer of HACC, said, “Congratulations to HACC’s spring 2020 graduating class! This distinct class has set themselves apart from all previous graduating classes as they pursued their degrees, certificates and diplomas during a time of civil unrest, a recession and a global pandemic. Without a doubt, these resilient individuals, who were encouraged by a support network, will be focused on helping us address and resolve our racial, economic and health challenges. On behalf of HACC’s Board of Trustees and employees, I personally wish this exceptional class of graduates great success in their personal and professional lives and ask them to remain #HACCproud.”
While we could not come together to celebrate the remarkable achievements of HACC graduates, virtual celebrations were held in their honor.
- Celebration dance party held via social media
- Graduate bingo and trivia with prizes
- Social media highlighting graduates
- “What’s next, don’t stress: Success!,” an educational session focusing on transition
The College announced the cancelation of its spring 2020 Commencement ceremony in March.
Many HACC graduates will continue their education at four-year institutions. Others, will enter the workforce and begin giving back to our community. A full list of graduates is available.
