Dan Miller, her husband and fellow HACC alumnus, and family have chosen to honor her memory by establishing the Deborah K. Levan “Debbi” Miller Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund. Mr. Miller said, “The best teachers I ever had were the ones I had at HACC… HACC is a fine institution and I am glad for the opportunity to do Debbi's nursing scholarship fund through HACC.”
“HACC nursing students are amazing. There is no greater investment than in people – especially those who are trained to care for us medically. This new scholarship will help students achieve their dreams,” Linnie Carter, Ph.D. APR, HACC’s vice president of college advancement and executive director of the HACC Foundation, said.
The scholarship requires that students must:
- Be enrolled in HACC’s Nursing Program
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Be enrolled part- or full-time at HACC
- Demonstrate unmet financial need
- Reside in one of the following counties: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin, Perry, Schuylkill or York
Preference will be given to single parents.
