HARRISBURG, Pa. - John J. “Ski” Sygielski, MBA, Ed.D., president and CEO of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, is on an 800-mile bicycle journey from Cincinnati, Ohio to Owen Sound, Ontario along the Underground Railroad Bike Tour through July 14, 2023, to raise money for HACC’s Fund for Inclusive Excellence.Sygielski said, “The trek mirrors the journey enslaved Africans traveled seeking freedom. Unlike the fear and secrecy surrounding the path of enslaved Africans, however, due to my privilege, I will ride openly during daylight hours.”
