HACC Students Produce Meals to Feed the Homeless
HARRISBURG, Pa. – Students in the Culinary and Pastry Arts Club at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, are producing healthy, warm meals to serve to those in need Oct. 17, 2018, at Downtown Daily Bread.
The community service project is being done in cooperation with Nadia Sharifi of Trimline Weight Loss and Wellness Centers/Tastefully Fit, which is paying for the food.
On Sept. 26, the students, accompanied by Sharifi and Chef Autumn Patti, program director of HACC’s Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts programs and club advisor, served 115 meals at Downtown Daily Bread, which is overseen by Chef Sharon Willis Jackson, a HACC alumna. The students also prepared enough food for two additional meals.
