HACC and Giant Partner, HACC Foundation Supports Key Projects

HARRISBURG, Pa. – The HACC Foundation, a nonprofit educational trust established in 1985 to raise private and corporate revenues in support of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, announces a partnership with The Giant Company and funding for key projects that support the College’s mission of learning for all; learning for life.

HARRISBURG, Pa. – HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, is pleased to announce our recent partnership with The GIANT Company, which made a generous $50,000 gift to the HACC Foundation in support of the following projects:
   
Together, HACC and The GIANT Company can help to improve inclusion and diversity in Central Pennsylvania. In addition, HACC and The GIANT Company can help Central Pennsylvania to address some of the social ills and injustices that have plagued our communities for decades.

HACC Foundation Allocates Over $600,900 for Key Projects  
HARRISBURG, Pa. - The HACC Foundation recently provided funding for key projects at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.

The HACC Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises private contributions in support of HACC, approved more than $600,900 for projects at the College.

This funding is made possible through generous contributions from individual and organizational donors.

The HACC Foundation funded the following projects:
 
Application Purpose of HACC Foundation Funding Benefit to Students and College Funded Amount
  1.  
 Dental Simulation Laboratory Funding will be used to provide a dental simulation laboratory on HACC’s Harrisburg Campus. The simulation laboratory will ensure HACC can provide students an education that focuses on best practices to prepare students to work in any dental office. $485,072
  1.  
 General Education Development (GED) and Skilled Training Academy Funding will allow students to simultaneously participate in GED adult education classes and career-readiness classes through HACC’s S.T.E.P. Academy (Stand up, Take action, Expect great things, Put in the work). $99,967.50
  1.  
 Franklin Covey LeaderU Funding will allow HACC to be the first community college in the country to partner with Franklin Covey to offer credentialing. $10,150
  1.  
 Nasogastric Tube (NG) and Trach Care Trainers Funding will improve student learning in the simulation lab through the acquisition of four NG Tube and Trach Care Trainers. $5,808
    Total $600,997.50
