HACC Celebrates Students During Community College Month
Pennsylvania’s first and largest community college celebrated Community College Month in a big way. With support from the HACC Foundation, HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, awarded $21,000 for students to continue their education at HACC.

Fall commencement 2011 - first HACC commencement for HACC President John J. “Ski” Sygielski
HACC President John J. “Ski” Sygielski, left, led the college’s 47th annual fall commencement Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Pennsylvania State Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg. The commencement was the first for Ski, who joined HACC in July as the college’s seventh president. With him on the dais are James Grandon, left, chair of the HACC Foundation Board of Trustees, and Elaine Moore ’01 of Lebanon, who was commencement speaker.

John J. “Ski” Sygielski, Ed.D., inducted as HACC's seventh president
John J. “Ski” Sygielski, Ed.D., center, was inducted as HACC’s seventh president during an inauguration ceremony held in the Cooper Student Center on the HACC-Harrisburg Campus. Presenting the college’s new president are, at left, Thomas B. Richey, vice chairman, HACC board of trustees, and right, Timothy L. Sandoe, chairman, HACC board of trustees.
The ceremony was broadcast to HACC’s regional campuses in Gettysburg, Lancaster, Lebanon and York.
