Math Contest 2014 - Second place: Harrisburg Academy
The team from Harrisburg Academy placed second in HACC’s 24th annual mathematics contest held recently through an interactive video link at the college’s Harrisburg, Lancaster and Gettysburg campuses. From left at the Harrisburg Campus are Matthew Pragel, HACC mathematics instructor; senior Michael Renqing Wang; junior Ilija Marchenko; sophomore David May; and the team's advisor from Harrisburg Academy. Wang also placed first in the individual overall score while May placed seventh and Marchenko was in a four-way tie for 10th. This year, 24 area high schools competed.

The team from Cumberland Valley High School placed third in HACC’s 24th annual mathematics contest held recently through an interactive video link at the college’s Harrisburg, Lancaster and Gettysburg campuses. From left at the Harrisburg Campus are: Matthew Pragel, HACC mathematics instructor; senior Gabriel White-Vega; sophomores Rachael Smith and Yeongho Shin, who also was in a three-way tie for fourth place in the individual overall score. This year, 24 area high schools competed.

Ephrata High School sophomore Joshua Dixon was among the top 10 highest scoring students in HACC’s 24th annual mathematics contest held recently through an interactive video link at the college’s Harrisburg, Lancaster and Gettysburg campuses. Dixon was in a four-way tie for 10th place in highest overall individual score. This year, 24 area high schools competed.
