In honor of HACC's 50th anniversary, HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College President, John J. "Ski" Sygielski, Ed.D., biked 170 miles – in just three days – to express his gratitude for all that Central Pennsylvania does for HACC and to award $41,000 in scholarships to new and current students.

HACC Foundation Provides 50th Anniversary ‘Happy Birthday’ Presents for 1,000 HACC Students Who Register Early

The HACC Foundation, in honor of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College’s 50th anniversary, is giving 1,000 students – 500 new and 500 current students – a “Happy Birthday” present. Current HACC students who register for at least nine credits between March 31 and April 11, 2014, for the fall 2014 semester will be eligible for a drawing to receive $100 off their tuition. New students are also encouraged to register between Monday, April 14 and April 25, 2014, for the same opportunity.

Fifty years ago, on Feb. 14, 1964, HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, was established as the first community college chartered in Pennsylvania. As HACC kicks off its year-long 50th anniversary celebration, the College is pleased to announce four renowned individuals will serve as the honorary co-chairs.
