YWCA, HACC-Gettysburg Campus to present ‘Holiday Stories from Around the World’

Public invited to join in free cultural celebration from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 9


GETTYSBURG – A celebration of six winter holidays is the focus of “Holiday Stories from Around the World,” a free public event from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at HACC-Gettysburg Campus, 731 Old Harrisburg Road.
The multicultural holiday event will include stories, music, children’s activities and food in the celebration of six winter holidays: Christmas, Hanukkah, ‘Id al Adha, Kwanzaa, Yule, and Chinese New Year. Local presenters will tell the story of each holiday and share how each is celebrated here in Adams County and around the world.
Program coordinators are Jessica Knouse, coordinator of Student Life and Multicultural Programs at HACC-Gettysburg Campus, and Ashley Andyshak Hayes of the YWCA of Gettysburg & Adams County.
