Get started on college, career at HACC’s Harrisburg Campus

Free information session offered 9 a.m.-noon April 28

HARRISBURG – If attending college is on your radar screen, plan to take advantage of a free open house from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 28, on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
Potential students will get started at a “welcome tent” marked by balloons, then begin the fun-filled, informational event.
Those who attend will hear what current students have to say about their HACC experience; learn about student life, clubs, athletics, and activities; and take tours of the campus and the health career area. A shuttle bus will provide transportation for those who want to tour the Midtown site to learn more about trade and technical training.
Participants who finish all nine holes of an on-site mini-golf game featuring information about HACC programs and resources will be registered to win a Kindle Fire.
Rounding out the activities will be a DJ, food, and information tables with details on financial aid and how to apply, transfer and career options, how HACC credits transfer to four-year schools, and how easy it is to enroll and attend.
