HACC to Hold Fall Commencement Ceremony on Dec. 19 at Giant Center

HARRISBURG, Pa. -

WHO: More than 300 students from HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, will walk at Commencement to receive associate degrees, diplomas or certificates.
WHAT: HACC’s fall 2017 Commencement ceremony
WHEN: Dec. 19, 2017, at 6 p.m.
WHERE: Giant Center
550 W. Hersheypark Drive
Hershey, PA 17033
COVERAGE: HACC President John J. “Ski” Sygielski, Ed.D., will confer degrees, diplomas and certificates to HACC students.

Among the graduates is student speaker Gloria Stoudt. The 52-year old Lancaster native is graduating with an associate degree in business management. While she initially started at HACC’s Lancaster Campus in the 1990s, she returned many years later to complete her degree fully online.

She says her background in business, in conjunction with her HACC education, has enabled her to thrive, encourage and supervise others in the business world. She is a supervisor at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre and a distributor for Shaklee Corporation.

While attending HACC, she made the dean’s list for the 2017 academic year and was awarded an Academic Commendation Award in recognition of her meritorious achievement in the virtual classroom. Stoudt is also a member of the Alpha Nu Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, honor society for two-year college students.

The first-ever Commencement ceremony sponsor is AAA Central Penn.
