Learn Where the HACC You Start at Free College Day

HARRISBURG, Pa. - HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, knows that college isn’t always easy. At HACC’s Free College Day on March 30, 2022, future HACC students can attend online sessions from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. to have their questions answered, learn about the financial aid process and connect with faculty to see what it’s like inside a classroom or program.

Examples of sessions include:
  • Where the HACC Do I Start? We Know Where!: Future students can gain information on the admissions process, New Student Orientation (NSO) and advising to learn how to be successful at HACC.
  • Avoiding "Major" Confusion: Strategies for the Undecided Student: HACC's Career Services team will teach future students about career services and provide the tools to assist students in choosing their pathway.
  • Peek into the Mysteries of the Mind in a Psychology Class in Lifespan Development: A psychology career may be a good match for future HACC students who are interested in human behavior and want to understand how the mind works. This session will give a glimpse of a psychology class at HACC.
  • Men of Color, Find YOUR Place at HACC: The mission and purpose of HACC’s Men of Color Initiative is to support and enhance the rich learning experiences at HACC for male-identifying students to counter historical equity gaps in post-secondary success. In this session, future students will learn about HACC's Men of Color initiatives, and how the College supports and affirms male-identifying students of color as they navigate their academic journey.

More than 60 sessions will be offered throughout the day. Participants are encouraged to attend any or all sessions.

Plus, thanks to the HACC Foundation, attendees may even win $1,000 toward HACC’s fall tuition.

Are you ready to find YOUR place at HACC? For the full list of sessions and to register, please visit hacc.edu/FreeCollegeDay.
